ABOUT US The La Jolla Center for Dispute Resolution
is a full service provider of dispute resolution services. The Center is
located in La Jolla, California and has convening opportunities in Driggs, Idaho.
Services are provided in California, the Rocky Mountain West and nationwide.
Dick Bayer
is the president of the
Center. Dick has been an AAA arbitrator
since the mid-1980's and a credentialed mediator since 1996. He has
mediated over 200 business, land-use, environmental and other cases in the last
nine years. He was recently named to the United
States Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution (www.ecr.gov),
becoming only the 7th neutral in California to be on that distinguished roster.
He was selected as the
"Professional of the Year: Environmental Law," by Strathmore's
Who's Who. He is a member of the
California Academy of Distinguished
Neutrals and several other well-known panels. He has served
on the Board of the
National Conflict Resolution Center (formerly the San Diego Mediation Center),
the board of ADR-San Diego and the board of
the California Dispute
Resolution Council (CDRC), the non-profit
advocate for all ADR providers in California. He was president of
CDRC in 2005. He is the president of
The
ReAlignment Group, Ltd., a construction project dispute
resolution company that takes troubled projects and puts them back on track. He is also a lawyer, a law professor, an
author and frequent lecturer on Environmental Law and ADR topics.
Dan Fauchier
is the
Director of Construction Services for the
Center. Dan is a construction project
manager, college teacher, mediator, arbitrator, partnering facilitator and
construction management expert with twenty years experience in direct, hands-on
management of construction projects from $250,000 to $18,000,000, and forensics
consulting for over Three Billion Dollars in projects nationwide. Experienced in
commercial, residential and public construction, on nearly one hundred projects,
he has served as either the general contractor, a subcontractor, the project
manager for the general or subcontractor, the design team leader or the owner's
construction manager. Dan mediates and arbitrates through the
Center, offers training through the
Center and is instrumental in directing
Project AlignmentTM,
Project RealignmentTM,
and Design-Build ADRTM
for Construction professionals.
Jessica
Suarez is the
Center's
Business Development Manager and is charge of coordinating all new and existing
business with the Center. Jessica
graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a degree in
